Leh, ladakh (The Stellar News): In a groundbreaking initiative, the Phia Foundation, with support from HDFC Bank Parivartan, has launched Project-HIMALAYA in Ladakh with a one day Training cum exposure tour to and the Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR). This transformative project aims to revolutionize agricultural practices in Leh Ladakh, fostering sustainable farming techniques and economic empowerment.
86 enthusiastic farmers from project villages within Kharu, Thiksey, and Chuchot blocks participated in the trianing cum exposure tour. The training session was a resounding success, providing farmers with invaluable knowledge on organic cultivation, innovative vegetable farming techniques, and value chain development for milk and vegetables.
Technical experts from DIHAR shared their expertise, leaving farmers inspired and empowered to implement diverse farming techniques. The feedback from participants expressed immense satisfaction with the training program, highlighting confidence in significantly boosting farm income over the next three years.
