Kargil (The Stellar News): In Ladakh, the Shingo Teachers Welfare Forum, Kargil recently organized the Shingo Zone Excellence Award 2024 to honor students from the Shingo Zone who successfully qualified for the prestigious NEET and JE Mains exams. In a unique gesture, all the selected candidates were the chief guests at the ceremony.
President Nissar Hussain Balkhani of the Shingo Teachers Forum expressed immense pride during the event. He highlighted a historic milestone for the Shingo Zone: for the first time, a girl from the area, Shazia Jabeen (D/O Asgar Ali, R/O Chanigund), has cleared the NEET exams and is set to become the zone’s first doctor. “It’s a proud moment for our community. This initiative will continue to recognize and celebrate excellence in all fields,” Balkhani stated. Other honored NEET qualifiers included: Mohd Aqeel (S/O Mohd Hussain, R/O Karkit Majdass), Mubarak Hussain (S/O Mohd Ismail, R/O Chanigund) Parvaiz Ali (S/O Mohammad Hussain, R/O Chanigund), and Mohammad Hassan (S/O Mohsin Ali, R/O Latoo). Students who qualified JE Mains qualifiers included, Mohammad Hassan Askary Balkhani (S/O Nissar Hussain Balkhani, R/O Chanigund), and Iftikhar Hussain (S/O Ghulam Mohammad, R/O Chanigund).
Balkhani noted that this recognition would serve as an inspiration, encouraging others from the Shingo Zone to excel at district, Union Territory (UT), and national levels. The event saw the presence of retired and senior teachers, along with other members of the organization, creating a supportive atmosphere for the achievers.
Students and their parents were honored with khataks and mementos, adding a traditional touch to the celebrations. The trailblazing girl, Shazia Jabeen, shared her secret to success, emphasizing the importance of avoiding distractions.This initiative by the Shingo Teachers Welfare Forum not only celebrates academic excellence but also aims to motivate the youth of Shingo Zone to achieve greater heights in various fields.
