Plastic carry bags will be banned at Golden Temple from this April. A meeting was held between Punjab Pollution Control Board(PPCB) Chairman, Kahan Singh Pannu and Shriomani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on March 14, which holds a discussion about the matter of plastic bags.

SGPC is going to introduced eco-friendly compostable carry bags at Golden Temple in order to clean the environment.
