Today, a Sarpanch was arrested for Jalalabad rice truck loot in Sriganganagar. The sarpanch is identified as Manaksar gram panchayat sarpanch Surinder Singh.

As per reports, the accused had run after looting a truck containing 724 bags of export-quality rice worth Rs.16 Lakh. The same truck was recovered from his house. He has been arrested by the police and interrogation is on.
