Chandigarh/SAS Nagar(The Stellar News): For the implementation of Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) along with State Designated Authority Punjab has appointed Ela Green Buildings and Infrastructure Consultants Pvt Ltd to form the ECBC cell. For the energy simulation training on ECBC, hence a training program was organized on 17th- 18thDecember 2020 via digital platform, informed a spokesman of PEDA.
The training program commenced with the digital floral welcome of the chief guest & Guest of Honour. The chief guest of the program was Sh. Manav Jain, Sr. Town Planner, Department of local Government, Chandigarh. Guest of honour was Sr. Paramjit Singh, Sr. Manager EC, PEDA, Chandigarh. The program was attended by Practicing Architects & Engineers from Municipal Corporation, Improvement trust & other stakeholders. The total number of participants for the program was more than 100. The master trainer Mr. Ashu Gupta talked about the detailed parameters of energy simulation software concerning ECBC 2017. He informed that heat transfer can be reduced by Building Envelope and the consumption of a building can be reduced by passive measures. Mr. Kushagra Juneja talked about the fundamentals of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and various HVAC technologies for instance Split systems, air-cooled chiller, and water-cooled chiller.
