DDC Rajouri releases financial assistance of 3404500 lacs to registered construction workers under scholarship for their wards

J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News), Anil Bhrdwaj: Continuing the efforts to uplift the construction workers, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today releases financial assistance of Rs 3404500 as scholarship including 3204500 for lower education and 200000 for higher education to the wards of the registered labourers.

Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrej Singh was present on the occasion.

The scholarship has been provided by the Labour Department under the Jammu and Kashmir Building and other construction welfare board schemes. Under this scheme, the children of the registered labourers are provided with academic and professional scholarship besides other social assistance to the registered labourers.

Deputy Commissioner directed the ALC to get all the genuine labourers of the district registered with the labour department so that they can avail themselves of the benefits of various welfare schemes being implemented by the department in the district.
