Rajouri police holds series of public meetings

J&K/Rajouri (The Stellar News): Anil Bhardwaj : Continuing with its efforts of inclusive cooperation between civil society and police and to boost the morale of people in terms of their pivotal role in maintenance of order, Rajouri police on Tuesday convened a number of public interaction meetings across the district. On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, these meeting were held at Kandra Targain of Budhal, Khadarian Kalakote, Gundha Khawas, Sakri Kotranka and Patrara Manjakote.

Respective Station House Officers chaired these meetings at Kandra Targain of Budhal, Khadarian Kalakote, Sakri Kotranka while the meeting at Khawas Gundha was chaired by concerned police post incharge. At Patrara in Manjakote, SDPO Manjakote Tanveer Jeelani alongwith SHO Manjakote chaired the meeting. People who took part in these meetings, discussed in details the prevailing scenario and need to have a proactive approach to foil nefarious designs of anti-social and criminal elements. The participants were advised to adhere to law and to maintain unity and harmony in society.The police officials chairing the meetings said that police public partnership is the most important aspect for maintaining a peaceful and orderly society.

They assured the people that all issues pertaining to police department shall be addressed on priority. Issues of concern to the local population were discussed, including those pertaining to civic amenities, regarding which the participants were assured that their concerns would be forwarded to the appropriate office for redressal. People were also advised to be vigilant and inform the nearest police station or post in case of any incident which had an impact on security or law and order.
