J&K/DODA (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: Doda Police said that in order to spread general awareness about cyber crime and cyber frauds like online cheating, deceit and other tactics used by fraudsters etc, Doda Police organized a Cyber crime awareness programme at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Doda.
The programme was organized on the guidance of SSP Doda, Sh. Abdul Qayoom. Dy.SP Hqrs Doda, Sh. Jaswant Singh along with other officers were resource persons on this occasion. The event was attended by nearly 450 students who were made aware about different tactics used by the fraudsters to swindle the people online and how to prevent themselves, was explained to them by resource persons. Main focus was laid on un-law ful acts and various precautions to be taken by the users like usage of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, email, gmail etc. to avoid misuse of social media.The participants were also informed by the resource persons that there are number of provisions to deal with cyber crime but the awareness is more important to ensure safety and security of people.
