J&K/DODA (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj : Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers, Police apprehended one drug peddler with Charas at Doda. While giving detail Police said that a police party of Police Station Doda led by ASI Nasir Ahmed while deployed with routine Naka duty /traffic checking near Ganpat Bridge Doda , noticed suspicion movement of one Auto Drive while he was asked to produce the documents for checking purpose. On getting suspicion, Police party conducted his search and recovered 200 grams of Charas like substance from his possession which he has wrapped in a khaki colour paper and concealed inside his clothes. On enquiry , the accused person disclosed his name Fareed Ahmed S/O Mohd Shafi R/O Malwana Doda.
In this connection case FIR No.112/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Doda and investigation of the case has been started. Doda Police under operation SANJEEVANI has continued its war against the drug peddling/ manufacturing of illicit liquor/destruction of cannabis crops in the District in which number of FIRs have been registered and number of accused persons have been booked including many notorious drug peddlers, main suppliers.
