Delhi (The Stellar News): On Monday, 18 July 2022, a 32-year old Sikkim Police jawan shot his three colleagues following a scuffle in Delhi’s Rohini area. The police said, ‘the incident is reported to have taken place at the Haiderpur water treatment plant’.
According to the police, out of the three, two police personnel- Commander Pinto Namgyal Bhutia and Indra Lal Chhetri, had died on the spot, while the third one was critically injured.
The third cop, Dhanhang Subba was then taken to the Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The accused has been identified as Prabin Rai and he has been arrested by the police. Rai belonged to the Indian Reserve Battalions (IRBn), Sikkim Police. Bhutia had graduated from the same 2012 batch as Rai, while Subba and Chhetri belonged to the 2013 batch.
