Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in a press briefing in meeting where he went with AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal to meet Udhav Thakrey and his son Aditya Thakrey.
When reporter asked Mann about the Ajnala incident where a Sikh separatist Amritpal Singh along with his supporters stormed a local police station and attacked police personnel with swords and sticks demanding release of his allies Lovepreet Toofan who was arrested by Police. This happened after the Punjab Police books Amritpal and his 30 allies in kidnapping and extortion cases.
While the confrontation with Amritpal supporters, Punjab Police was seen helpless and week as the mob used holy book Guru Granth sahib as a shield against the Police Personnel.
Later on Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in a tweet said that, “Those who use Shabad Guru Granth Sahib as a shield to enter Police Stations, can’t be called ‘Varis’ of Punjab and Punjabiat in any manner.
Doppleganger of Bhindrawale, Amritpal Singh who returned from Dubai last year is trying to revive the Khalistan movement in Punjab. He has gained popularity in Punjab after he started giving statements in favour of Khalistan.
