J&K/DODA (The Stellar News), Report-Anil Bhardwaj: As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav under the theme “Police in AMRIT KALL” today on 20th of October-2023, Doda Police organized an awareness programme in Police Complex Doda which was attended by a number of students of Govt. Degree College Doda and other Schools of Doda town. The programme was organized by Sh. Jaswant Singh-JKPS, Dy.SP Hqrs Doda under the guidance of Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, SSP Doda. The aim of organizing the programme is to aware the youth about the functioning of Police in different areas of policing to safeguard the nation and to bridge the gape between police and public. The students were briefed about the working of Police Stations, Women Police Station, Police Posts, functioning of Police Control Room, CCTV surveillance and other activities carried out by Police on daily basis. The role and efforts of Police was highly appreciated by the participating students in their feed back. Certificate of participation were distributed among the participating students.
Mentionable here that Doda Police has been organizing number of public friendly programmes as an effort to bridge the gape between the Police and public besides an awareness about the role and functioning of Police in different areas of Policing. Among others, Shakeel Ahmed-JKPS ASP Hqrs Doda, Susheel Kumar, Dy.SP DAR Doda and Inspector Jatinder Singh, SHO PS Doda were also present.
