Hoshiarour (The Stellar News): Referee Seminar and Exam was organised by Karate Welfare Association of Gautam Buddha Nagar under the aegis of Karate India Organisation (KIO) at Pacific World School, Greater Noida. This seminar was inaugurated by Hanshi Bharat Sharma, newly elected President of South Asian Karate Federation and Mentor i of Karate India Organisation. 81 bright referees, judges and coaches participated in this day long seminar organised under the leadership and guidance of Kyoshi Kamal Thapa, Kyoshi Balkrishna Gurung, Kyoshi Sanjay Sharma and Renbu Kai Karate India Head Sensei Subodh Dhiman.
Sensei Jagmohan Vij, senior member of the National Referee Commission of Karate India Organisation and certified judge A of the World Karate Federation, tought and explained about the new rules of the World Karate Federation. After the seminar, the selected referees participated in the theory and practical examination under the new rules of the World Karate Federation 2023. Succesful participants were awarded with the certificates of Referee A, Referee B, Judge A and Judge B as per their qualification alongwith tie and beige.
It is noteworthy that Jagmohan Vij is the first and only referee from Punjab who was nominated by Karate India Organisation, the national body for getting recognition from World Karate Federation and Asian Karate Federation, to conduct this examination. Jagmohan Vij thanked Hanshi Bharat Sharma, KIO President Kyoshi Vijay Tiwari and General Secretary Kyoshi Sanjeev Jangra for this appointment.
