VARIOUS PEOPLE BOOKED BY DELHI POLICE FOR BLACK MARKETING AND SEIZED HUNDREDS OF OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS

Delhi (The Stellar Police) Saksham Kalia: Delhi Police has conducted multiple raids all across the city and seized hundreds of oxygen concentrators. Delhi police alertly took action against hoarders selling oxygen concentrators in the Blackmarket, Delhi police seized about 450 oxygen concentrators in respected conducted raids.

Delhi police bursts biggest racket of Delhi at Lodhi colony from which Delhi police alone recovered 419 oxygen concentrators. In this Delhi Police arrested 4 men and a search has been started for a businessman named Navneet kalra who is suspected to be mastermind.

In these multiple raids the person arrested were mostly businessman who were selling some goods before pandemic but resorted to selling oxygen concentrators for profit in these days. Now, cops will approach court for taking permission of distributing seized oxygen concentrators to Hospitals and medical facilities during this oxygen crisis.

South DCP Atul Thakur said that, the raid started from Nage &Ju Bar, owned by kalra a well known businessman associated the Dhyal optical and Khan Chacha. Both these associates are under police scanners.

According to police, cops got first lead from a WhatsApp message sent by Kalra to his acquaintance in which he sent his bank details for getting money in exchange to a concentrator. Then, following cops started watching progress on Kalra’s Bar in central market Lodhi colony. DCP said that, during the patrolling Delhi police found an opened shop and when police enquired the place, a person working on laptop was founded taking orders of oxygen generators. During the search in premises police seized 32 boxes of oxygen generators of 9 and 5 litres capacity.  

Delhi police lodged FIR and the bar manager Hitesh and three persons were arrested. They led the cops to Khullar farm, Mandi village from where 387 more units were seized.

Under the second raid conducted in West District when Narender’s police team got a lead that duo was selling the oxygen concentrators for Rs1.3 lakh each. Then Police conducted a raid and seized 18 concentrators and arrested 2 culprits were suspected as Hemant and Hari. About 18 concentrators were seized which Hemant had imported from china.

Next raids were conducted by North Delhi Police and arrested two in two different raids. Police seized nine concentrators from these raids. In South East Delhi DCP R P Meena’s team seized six concentrators and arrested a man named Avinash Gupta. Next in Govindpuri, a home care service provider was arrested as he was overcharging for oxygen concentrators. He was selling a single oxygen concentrator for Rs3 lakh. He accepted Rs2.1 lakh before giving concentrator in his account but the buyer asked cops that when she realise that she was overcharged by the seller. After that Delhi Police took action against the seller.
