Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: India is facing second wave of Covid-19 which has created a crisis situation in the country. Second wave is more intensified wave which led to loss of thousands of people in the country. The reason of second wave is some mistakes done by our State as well as centre Governments.
Last year when the effect of first wave had reduced, Government started taking covid-19 lightly. Government believed that now corona has come to an end and now we can take Covid-19 lightly but this became curse for the country. Instead of the warnings given by scientists that the second wave is suspected to come and will be more Deadlier but Governments relaxed Covid-19 protocols.
Government relaxed Covid-19 restrictions, opened the whole country and allowed everyone to move freely in country. All international flights were allowed to take off and land. Social gathering were allowed by government, political rallies were allowed to organize and Election commission started conducting elections.
Not just government, people were equally responsible for the lethargic behaviour for following covid-19 protocols. People stopped wearing masks and ignored social distancing. This led to increase in transmission of covid-19 infection and the corona cases touched record high cases.
Now, State Governments is repeating the same mistake which will definitely give bad effect in country. This time Centre Government gave freedom to State Governments for imposing lockdown in their respective states. So, taking as a responsibility State Governments imposed various restrictions in states. But now when the cases are decreasing State Governments are taking back all the restrictions.
But the reason of taking tension is that the suspected third wave of Covid-19. As government is taking all the restrictions back and different strains has been identified in the country. The transmission level of these strains is suspected to be more dangerous.
Some experts are saying that the reason why governments are taking back all the restrictions is due to the vaccination drive. Various people had been vaccinated so the risk of covid-19 has reduced. But some are saying that the covid-19 cannot be taken lightly until more than the half population will get vaccinated.
Some experts are appealing Governments that this time is to impose strict restrictions rather than taking the covid-19 lightly. Already, various people had losses their lives due to covid-19, so it’s important to cut the transmission chain of corona virus.
