Kargil (The Stellar News): In Ladakh the three days National Farmers Day Celebration concluded at KVK 1st Kargil with a Seminar on scope and importance of Agriculture for Entrepreneurship Development. On this occasion Dr Mehdi Akhone Principal Scientist and Head KVK 1st Kargil gave a briefing and presenting a presentation regarding the scope and hindrance facing by farmers and rural youth while going for starting entrepreneurship in agriculture field. More than 40 progressive farmers from all over Kargil participated in the Seminar.
He further emphasize on sanitation of apple and apricot orchard for controlling pest infestation and increasing yield for a better economy. Dr Mehdi Further stressed on quality seed purchasing for higher yield and introduction of vermicompost for higher yield and conversion into organic Agriculture. On this occasion certificate to 20 candidates were distributed for completing their course organized by Agriculture Skill Council of India in collaboration with KVK 1st Kargil.
