New Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this morning, hours before an expected call to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Government sources said amid desperate efforts to evacuate hundreds of Indians still stranded in warzone.
As per sources, both the leaders discussed the evolving situation in Ukraine in a phone call that lasted about 35 minutes, government sources said.
Prime Minister appreciated the “continuing direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine” and thanked President Zelensky for his government’s help in evacuating Indians from Ukraine.
Prime Minister Modi also sought continued support from Ukraine government for the evacuation of Indian citizens from war torn areas of Ukraine.
There are also reports that PM Modi will spoke to Russian President Putin later today.
