Delhi ( The Stellar News ): India’s first Annual Health Summit 2022 was inaugurated by Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying. This summit was held at NASC Complex, New Delhi on July 6, 2022. On this occasion Parshottam Rupala called for increasing the use of Ayurveda for ensuring the betterment of animal health. The main objective of this event was to understand the importance of animal health and what measures should be taken to improve it which will help in the improvement of nutritional values of food products, development of food values and will also play a major in the rise of rural income, prosperity of rural areas and overall economic development.
Rupala was the Chief Guest at the summit and it was organised by Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) with Agriculture Today Group. Atul Chaturvedi, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, being the speaker at the summit, put a stress on the importance of animal husbandry and how animal health is important for the said section and how necessary measures should be taken. He also said that it is important to ensure the respect towards the Veterinarians community and the department is taking necessary initiatives to address the animal pandemic preparedness.
A panel discussion will held on this two day event addressing the topics such as Animal health, policy initiatives, business environment and investment opportunities for the betterment of the Animal Health Sector and the written documents of the decisions and plans will be handed over to the authorities. Dr. Praveen Malik, Commissioner, Animal Husbandry, Dr. KML Parthak, Chairman, ICFA, Dr. Umesh Sharma, President Veterinary, Council of India, Dr. Dieter J. Schillinger, DDG, International Livestock Research Institute and Mrs. Mamta Jain, Editor and CEO of Agriculture Today Goup were among the important presentees at the event.
