9 lakh people are still affected even after Assam flood situation has improved


Delhi ( The Stellar News ) : Even though situation of floods has continued to improve in Assam, still 9.06 lakh people around 12 districts are still affected with Cachar district remained the worst district with over 5.63 lakh people affected by the deluge. The Assam State District Management Authority (ASDMA) in its flood report stated that Cachar district is the worst hit with more than 5 lakh flood victims, while Nagaon and Morigan have 1,56,731 and 1,51,842 flood victims respectively. Central government has released Rs. 324.40 crore as advance share of State District Response Fund (SDRF).
