Rajan And Swaranjit Kaur Arrested In Hoshiarpur Driver Bakhsi Ram Blind Murder Case

Kapurthala (The Stellar News), Gaurav Maria: Kapurthala police have traced the blind murder of a man whose body was found in fields near Kala Sanghia road in jurisdiction of Police station Sadar Kapurthala. SSP Navneet Singh Bains Said, On 19 June, 2022, Kapurthala police had found a corpse from farm fields near main Highway after which FIR No. 68 dated 19.06.2022 u/s 302, 201, 34 IPC was registered in Police Station Sadar Kapurthala. The victim was later identified as Bakshi Ram during investigation. After working for about 2 months, Sadar Kapurthala police team with the help of modern technology traced and arrested the accused namely Rajan Kumar s/o Ashok Kumar Village Ahmedpur Police Station Sadar Kapurthala and his wife Swaranjit Kaur d/o Balkar Singh Village Madhopur/Jolowal District Kapurthala.

During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed that they had booked an ETIOS TAXI bearing number PB-07-BT-7220 from Hoshiarpur to Gurudwara Ber Sahib. The taxi driver named Bakhsi Ram (about 42 years old) accompanied them to Sultanpur Lodhi. On the way back from Gurudwara Ber Sahib, the accused murdered the taxi driver and left his body in the farm fields thereby fleeing away with the vehicle.

Both the accused have multiple FIRs registered against them wherein they are accused of Murder, Snatching, Possession of illegal weapons and other heinous crimes in states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The following cases are registered against accused Rajan Kumar.

1. FIR No.20 dated 10.02.2022 u/s 382,392,323,34 IPC, Addition Offense 394,120-B,397,201,427 IPC, PS Parwanu District Solan Himachal Pradesh in which Accused Rajan Kumar and Swaranjit Kaur snatched a vehicle by injuring the driver.
2. FIR No. 68 dated 19-6-2022 u/s 302,201,34 IPC, Addition Offense 379 B IPC police station Sadar Kapurthala, in which Accused Rajan Kumar and Swaranjit Kaur killed the driver and stole the car brand ETIOS.
3. FIR No. 71 dated 24-06-2022 u/s 307 IPC 25-54-59 Arms Act Police Station Satnampur Phagwara District Kapurthala in which accused fired at the police party and ran away from point.
4. FIR No. 562 dated 10-8-2022 u/s 379,411 IPC PS Kotwali Roorkee District Haridwar Uttarakhand in which motorcycle was stolen by them.
5. FIR No. 564 Dated 10-08-2022 u/s 323,392,506,411 IPC Police Station Kotwali Roorkee District Haridwar Uttarakhand in which accused Extorted money from the e-rickshaw driver at the Pistol point.
6. FIR No. 566 dated 11-08-2022 u/s 3/25 Arms Act PS Kotwali Roorkee District Haridwar Uttarakhand.

Following cases are registered against accused Swaranjit Kaur d/o Balkar Singh Village Madhopur/Jolowal Police Station Sadar Kapurthala.

1. FIR No. 20 dated 10.02.2022 u/s 382,392,323,34 IPC, Addition Offense 394,120-B,397,201,427 IPC PS Parwanu District Solan Himachal Pradesh Accused Rajan Kumar and Swaranjit Kaur had stolen the vehicle by injuring the driver.
2. FIR No. 68 dated 19-6-2022 u/s 302,201,34 IPC, Addition Offense 379 B IPC police station Sadar Kapurthala, in which Accused Rajan Kumar and Swaranjit Kaur killed the driver and stole the car brand Etos.

Both the accused in the FIR have been arrested and the stolen car has been recovered. Apart from this, further investigation is going on in this case, from which there is a possibility of more revelations.
