New Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got attention in last few days after a report claimed that the leader spent crores of rupees in the renovation of his residence.
After the report got dropped in the public domain, Opposition parties started debate against the Aam Aadmi Party’s supremo Arvind Kejriwal and sought explanation from the leader.
The report shows that, about Rs 11.30cr were spent on Interior Decoration, 6.02 Cr on Stone/Marble Flooring, Rs 1 crore on Superior Interior Consultancy, Rs 2.58 crores spent on Electrical fittings/gadgets/ appliances, Fire Fighting System expenses were Rs 2.85 Cr, Rs 1.41cr spent on Wardrobe/accessories/fittings and Rs 1.10cr spent on Kitchen/ Pantry/ Kitchen appliances. There are reports which claims that Rs 8 lakh worth of curtains were bought for the CM house.
The total expense of the whole task is Rs 44.78 cr.
BJP Protest over Renovation:
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra in a press conference spoke about the matter and called it “Really pathetic”
He said, “Total costing of this renovation is Rs 45 crores. It’s really sad that the renovation was done at the time when whole Capital was under chaos due to Corona Pandemic. People of Delhi were selling their houses to collect money for their treatment because CM Kejriwal had failed in providing them beds and oxygen.
He added, ‘On 1st September, 2020 when Country was facing the first wave of covid, Rs 7.91cr were sanctioned for the renovation of CM House. While on 8th June, 2021 when people were facing oxygen shortage, Rs 1.64cr were sanctioned for the CM’s mansion.
“On 22nd October, 2021, Rs 9.9cr were allotted, 30th December, 2021, Rs 5.73Cr were sanctioned and later on Rs 8 crore were again sanctioned for the task. On 29th December, 2020, Rs 9.34cr were given to renovate the palace of CM”, Spokesperson Said.
Congress Questions AAP:
Congress party also took this matter seriously and many Congress leaders posted the nomination form of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in which he had promised to not take any luxury as sitting Delhi CM.
CM Arvind Kejriwal’s previous speeches were posted by the party leaders where Kejriwal was seen questioning the Luxurious life of Ministers and politicians in the country.
AAP Clarification:
Aam Aadmi Party coming in front of Media replied and called it a move to suppress the allegation made by Former Goa Governor Satyapal Malik against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh in a Press Conference said, “We are asking about the allegations made by Satyapal Malik, Question is why aircrafts were not given to the soldiers who died in Pulwama Incident if thousands of crores worth of Airplane is bought by Indian PM, We were asking about the Adani Corruption Matter.”
Aam Aadmi Party giving clarification on the matter said the expenditure was not for the renovation it was for the reconstruction of the residence. Citing the three times roof collapse incident in CM house and said the decision was taken after the PWD report.
Public Discussion over AAP leaders in Corruption Charges:
There should be no discussion if everything is done in the right way but if a party comes in power by protesting against the existing parties and leaders for a VIP treatment of Political Leaders and supremo of that party spent crores of rupees for the lavishness, then questions will be asked.
Two AAP minister in Delhi are in jail due to the corruption charges and are not getting any relief from respective court. Party is calling it a political vendetta but the charges cannot be fully disapproved till the court verdict. AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal was also questioned by the CBI.
