J&K/DODA (The Stellar News), Report-Anil Bhardwaj: In a statement issued by Doda Police that on the basis of specific information received through reliable sources that one person namely Jaffer Iqbal Batt son of Mohd Iqbal Batt resident of Langot Tehsil Bhagwah Distt Doda was coming from Bhagwah side towards Doda town with illicit liquor in his possession.
Soon after the receipt of this information Police swung into action and a Police Party of Police station Doda led by PSI Shubam Sharma intercepted him near Dessa Chowk Doda where the police party had laid a Naka and during his search, huge quantity of illicit liquor ( whisky bottles) was recovered from his possession. Police has also seized three-wheeler (Auto) bearing Regd No. JK06-8262 of accused person which was used by him for carrying the illicit liquor.
On this case FIR NO.150/2023 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Doda and investigation of the case has been started.
Doda Police has continued its operation and stepped up the efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs , manufacturing and selling of illicit liquor from the District.
