A meeting of Rajput Sabha was held at village Mahmudpur Batala under sub division Mukerian. This meeting was held under the supervision of President Pradeep Katoch. Sandeep Minhas, State Vice Chairman of the Rajput Kalyan Board said that Maharana Pratap was such a valiant warrior who took all the sections of society together. For the last breath, he fought with the Mughals, but did not accept their proposal.
Kunwar Sangram Singh, youth president of Punjab Rajput Mahasabha said that Mukerian Civil Hospital has demanded several times from the administration to set up the statue of Maharana Pratap at the adjoining Chowk, but the government and administration are not taking it seriously.
During the meeting, Vijay Singh, Jagdish Minhas, Balwinder Singh, Ranvir Singh, Jagdev, Sarpanch, Saurabh, Neelkanth, Gurmeet Singh, Kapil, Shivdev Singh, Anil, Vikas, Sunil, Kulvir, Kartar Singh and others passed a collective resolution and demanding to set up a university on the name of Maharana Pratap in any state of north India, including Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu so that a true tribute can be paid to the great patriot.
