On Tuesday morning a statue of Periyar was vandalised in Tamil Nadu. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) head constable Senthil Kumar has been arrested for his involvement in statue vandalism.

As per CRPF officials statement, Senthil Kumar was on 30 days leave starting from March 14 and undergoing treatment for mental health issue.
Senthil Kumar was arrested by Alangudi police on Tuesday night in Pudukkottai.
