MAHARASHTRA HOME MINISTER ANIL DESHMUKH RESIGNS AFTER BOMBAY HIGH COURT OREDRED CBI PROBE

Mumbai(The Stellar News) Saksham: On Monday, Home Minister of Maharashtra Anil Deshmukh resigned from his post. This decision came just after the Bomaby High Court ordered probe following the plea by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh. Anil Deshmukh after getting informed by the decision of Bombay High Court met senior leaders of party and gave his resignation. He met Sharad Pawar and NCP senior leader Nawab Malik. He said he want to give his resignation to chief minister Udhav Thakrey. His party have requested CM to accept his resignation letter.
State minister and NCP leader said that, Deshmukh did not want to continue his work as Home Minister so he decided to give his resignation to Chief Minister. “After the court orders I don’t have moral right to continue in office. I have decided to quit, please relieve me from my post”, Anil Deshmukh’s resignation letter said.
This matter started after the transfer of Former Chief of Mumbai Police Param Bir Singh. Maharashtra government said that Mr Singh was transferred as he made some ‘unpardonable mistakes’ in Ambani bomb scare investigation. After this Param Bir Singh came in public with his letter to chief Minister in which he alleged Home Minister for illegal transfer, corruption, extortion. He also alleged that home minister Anil Deshmukh had asked various police cops including suspended cop Sachin Waze to collect Rs100crore from bars and restaurants.
Bombay High court asked CBI to investigate this case and submit report within 15days.
