COVID-19 VACCINE UPDATE: INDIA TO CHANGE ITS POSITION FROM EXPORTER TO IMPORTER

Delhi (The Stellar News), Saksham: The cases of Covid-19 are increasing extensively and hospitals are filling very rapidly. Due to this India is facing shortage of covid-19 vaccines and medically used oxygen. More than 2lakh people are getting infected each day.

After exporting millions of vaccine doses to other countries now India will start importing covid-19 vaccines from other nations. India is thinking to import Sputnik V (Russian vaccine) and Pfizer vaccines.

As India have a vast population and to vaccinate everyone is a big task. For this India has also decided that the production of Bharat biotech vaccine named Covaxin will be increased 6-7 times by September. This means India will manufacture 100Mn doses of Covaxin till September per month.
