PNB SCAM CASE: NIRAV MODI EXTRADITION CLEARED BY UK COURT

Delhi (The Stellar News), Saksham: UK Court cleared the extradition of Indian diamond merchant Nirav Modi. UK Home office approved the first hurdle of Nirav Modi’s extradition. Nirav modi was accused in PNB (Punjab National Bank) scam and money laundering case.

Nirav modi was arrested by UK police on 9th may, 2019. The amount estimated in money laundering and scam case was $2billion. Nirav Modi is being investigated by CBI in PNB scam and simultaneously ED is probing in money laundering case related to PNB scam.

Westminster Magistrates’ Court judge Samuel Goozee had said there were links of Nirav Modi and other conspirators including bank officials of PNB. “I do not accept that Nirav Modi was involved in legitimate business. I find no genuine transactions and believe there is a process of dishonesty,” the judge ruled.

Norav modi had appealed in court that he cannot get justice in Indian court due to media trials and Politicians pressure. But court rejected his plea.

Honourable Judge said that, there were no evidences that Nirav Modi will not get justice in Indian court and said there were enough evidences against Nirav Modi conviction.
