Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Punjab recently faced a political instability and the ruling power itself directly or indirectly admitted that the previous leadership was acting like an obstacle in Punjab’s development. But when the new team of Punjab cabinet made than everyone was expecting some big steps from the govt. But then just after that a very sad Lakhimpur incident happened in which eight people died including four farmers. This is true that this is the duty of opposition to condemn the incident and put pressure on govt to strict enquiry, but now the political parties are acting like a fuel in increasing the heat of incident.
Many political parties Congress, Shromani Akali Dal (SAD), Samajwadi party and others started reaching the incident spot but detained by UP Police amid security reasons. This is not true, but the new is that Punjab Government leaders are taking so much interest in increasing their political image they forget their state duty that Punjab citizens given them. From Punjab CM to MLA’s are marching towards Lakhimpur in a claim to share grief with victim families.
Not Congress, SAD headed towards Lakhimpur and reached victim houses, SAD leaders also politicise the whole incident. But the sad this is that, if Punjab govt will be busy in solving the other state cases than who will be look into Punjab issues. Seeking justice for someone is good but using that issue for the political issues is shameful.
In 2017, the whole Punjab elected Capt Amarinder Singh as Punjab CM and bring Congress into state power, they voted because the congress gave them a hope to their shattered believes of Punjab development. Congress promises of throwing drugs out of Punjab, providing hundreds of jobs to youth near their houses and providing better infrastructure in Punjab bring citizens into a different world.
But the picture has totally changed, Punjab politics has turned drastically as Main face which takes Congress into power is now eliminated from the holdings and Party leadership. Congress high command took resignation of Capt Amarinder amid the inside rebellion of Party MLA’s. Charanjit Singh Channi appointed as Punjab CM and the whole party blamed Capt Amarinder Singh and indirectly accepted that in last 4.5years they did nothing.
But after resolving the inside rebellion of Party, the whole new team of Punjab was appointed and congress tried to gave a message that this team will do miracle in last 4months before the assembly elections next year. But as the Punjab Govt is busy in Uttar Pradesh issues than Punjab people would rely on UP Govt.
