AGRA LAWYERS REFUSED TO FIGHT FOR THREE STUDENTS ARRESTED UNDER SEDITION ACT

Agra (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Three students who were arrested for celebrating Pakistan win against India in T20 world cup match in Jammu and Kashmir are facing problems for hiring lawyers. As the lawyers associations in Agra have refused to provide legal assistance to the three kashmiri students charged with sedition.

The families are now helpless to search for lawyers in other cities. But now, Advocate Madhuvan Dutt Chaturvedi (who is fighting the case of 26-year-old PhD scholar Atiq-ur Rehman, Masood Ahmad and Mohammad Alam- who were booked for sedition and under UAPA after they were arrested journalist Siddique Kappan while going to meet the family of a 19-year-old Dalit girl in Hathras who was allegedly gangraped and killed) has agreed to defend the students.
