“DO YOU KNOW, YOUR PARENTS RIGHTS TO LIFE WAS SNATCHED AWAY FROM THEM?” : PM ASKED YOUTH IN MANN KI BAAT

New Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed Mann Ki Baat programme and started with a question to youth, “Do you know, Your parents Right to life was snatched from them?”  Showing his concern said this is not possible but this was happened in 1975.

PM mentioned the imposition of Emergency in 1975 by the Indian Government. PM while referring the Emergency said, “We should not forget the dark days of Emergency, in this month of June the Rights of citizens were snatched. “Right to Life” and “Personal Liberty” were also curtailed in Emergency.

PM added that even famous singer Kishor Kumar was also banned from radio as he refused to praise the Government. PM said, “It was our democratic mindset that eventually prevailed”.

During address PM also mentioned the achievements attained by the space sector in India, including creation of an agency named In-Space, an agency that is promoting new opportunities in the space sector for the private sector of India. PM added, some years ago no one can thought about start-ups in space, but today the number is more than hundred.

PM named Tanvi Patel, a school student of Mehsana is working on a very small satellite, which is going to be launched in space in next few months.

PM also praised Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra who shattered his own record and won gold in Kuortane Games. He added, “This zest is the hallmark of today’s youth. From Start-Ups to the Sports World, the youth of India are making new records. In the recently held Khelo India Youth Games too, our players set many records. You would love to know that a total of 12 records have been broken in these games – not only that, 11 records have been registered in the names of female players. M. Martina Devi of Manipur has made eight records in weightlifting.”

PM mentioned Sanjana, Sonakshi and Bhavna who have also made different records. With their hard work, these players have proven how much India’s prestige is going to rise in international sports arena in the coming times. I also congratulate all these players and wish them all the best for the future.

There has been another special feature of Khelo India Youth Games. This time too many such talents have emerged, who are from very ordinary families. These players have struggled a lot in their lives to reach this stage of success. In their success, their family, and parents too, have had a big role to play.
