4 held after woman gang-raped at Delhi railway station

Delhi (The Stellar News): New Delhi Police has arrested four people accused in 30-yr old woman ganag rape which was reported on Thursday night in New Delhi Railway Station. A 30 year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four employees of the railway department at New Delhi Railway Station.
DCP Railway Harendra Singh said, “The victim, aged 30, was raped in the electrical maintenance staff hut at Railway Station platform 8-9 Thursday night. All 4 accused are Railway Employees in Electrical Department have been arrested”.
The police said, “The call was earlier received at PS ODRS at around 2:27 pm. The staff there checked for the caller but could not find her. Upon contacting her on the given mobile number, it was known that she is standing at PF No. 8-9 of the station. Immediately, the SHO along with the staff reached the platforms 8-9 where he met the victim”.
The victim is separated from her husband and seeking divorce. She came in contact with Satish through a common friend around two years back. He told her that he is a railway employee and can arrange a job for her. Both remained in contact and on June 21, he invited her to his home as he was hosting his son’s birthday party. She came via metro to Kirti Nagar at around 10:30 pm from where she was picked up by the accused and brought at PF 8-9. He asked her to sit in a hut meant for electrical maintenance staff. “Then he and his friend came inside the room and bolted it from inside and sexully assaulted her one after another. Two of his accomplices facilitated the assault by guarding the room from outside”, the police said.
The police then lodged the FIR and charged the accused under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code for rape and assault.
