Amritsar (The Stellar News): Special Task Force (STF) during a joint operation with local police arrested Additional SHO of police station Lopoke, Narinder Singh, for taking protection money of Rs. 10 lakh. This incident came to light when STF went to the house of a drug smuggler for his arrest and his wife asked the STF authorities why they have come here even after taking protection money?
In the investigation of Ludhiana blast STF found such proofs that led to the arrest of Pramukh Singh and Dilbagh Singh who were working as ISI agents. During investigation, the leader admitted that he has given Rs. 10 lakh to Additional SHO Narinder Singh as protection money so the police would not bother him again. After this confession STF took action and arrested Narinder Singh.
Pramukh Singh and Dilbagh Singh were suppliers of weapons and drugs in Punjab, which were being smuggled from Pakistan by them and Narinder Singh was working in order to protect them. Four consignments of IED were brought from Pakistan by Pramukh Singh and Dilbagh Singh, out of which three were recovered by the Punjab Police and the fourth IED was used in the Ludhiana blast.
