‘I am not scared of Narendra Modi’, says Rahul Gandhi Day after ED sealed Young Indian Office

Delhi (The Stellar News): On Thursday, Congressman Rahul Gandhi, who is under investigation by the ED in connection with the National Herald Case, declared that he was not afraid of the Modi administration. “We won’t get intimidated. I am not scared of Narendra Modi. Have you understood? He can do whatever he wants. It won’t make any difference,” Rahul Gandhi said. “This is my duty– to protect the country, the democracy, to maintain the harmony in the country. I will work towards that,” the Congress leader added.

“We will not flee neither are we scared of Narendra Modi. Let him do what he wants to”, Gandhi said while talking to the media-persons outside his house.

The voice of the party’s leadership will not be silenced with such “cheap tactics”, said Abhishek Manu Singhvi

“They think they can silence our voice by pressurizing us. But it is not going to happen. Whatever Modiji and Amit Shahji are doing is against democracy”, he said. Rahul Gandhi skipped the meeting of the Congress MPs in Parliament on Thursday.

After the locked the Herald House, Congress convened meeting. The opposition leaders are being treated by the current administration like “terrorists”, according to the Congress.

“The entire country is watching as an investigating agency has been deployed mindlessly against the leadership of India’s oldest political party. You (the BJP) are treating this party, its leaders and institutions as terrorists,” Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said during a media briefing on Wednesday.

A few days after Sonia Gandhi, the party’s interim president, and her son Rahul Gandhi were interrogated in connection with the National Herald case, the ED shut the Young Indian Pvt. Ltd. office, which is located in the Herald House here.
