Punjab (The Stellar News): Punjab Government in its recent notification invites applications from eligible scheduled caste advocates/candidates for engagements as law officers in the office of Advocate General, Punjab. These recruitments will be for the Chandigarh and legal cell, New Delhi, to defend the cases for and on behalf of state of Punjab.
Five months ago the applications were withdrawn but now fresh applications are invited by the Government. The detailed notice/advertisement regarding the details of category of law offices to be engaged, the eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions can be downloaded from the official website of Punjab Government, http://punjab.gov.in
The applicants may apply either by sending their applications along with scanned copies of relevant supporting documents at e-mail ID [email protected] or send an application through post or in person to the secretary to government of Punjab, department of home affairs & justice (Judicial-1 Branch), 9th floor, Punjab civil secretariat-1, chandigarh, by 13.09.2022 before 5:00 PM, Applications received after this deadline shall not be entertained.
Last time the government has denied the reservation criteria in this recruitment but now in its fresh notice has nod the reservation criteria to be followed in this engagement of law officers.
Adv. Rahul Adia giving his statement said, “By approving the reservation criteria (giving preference to SC candidates) for engagement of law officers, govt has chosen a democratic way”.
