Punjab (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Security in the multiple areas of Punjab has been tightened amidst the police failed to trace the secessionist Amritpal who is on run from past 14 days and continuously changing his locations. The dramatic chase of Amritpal has reached to a village of Hoshiarpur district, Marnaiya where Punjab Police along with the central forces has launched a search operation after a car is being found abandoned.
As per the Police, two people left the car and ran from the site while they were chasing the car. Yesterday, there were speculations that Amritpal Singh is in surrender mood and will soon give his arrest to Police. But Amritpal released a video message and put a full stop on surrender news and appealed Sri Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Chief Giani Harpreet Singh to call a Sarbat Khalsa on the Holy day of Visakhi.
This has raised questions over the Punjab Police security that how can someone freely post videos who is on the hitlist of thousands of police personnel. Yesterday, Amritpal shared another video in which he cleared that he is out of the Police custody and he has no fear of being arrested. He again asserted his demand of Sarbat Khalsa and asked Jathedar Giani Gurpreet Singh to took stand for the community.
Surprising, Punjab Police senior officials are on mute mode and are giving no official statements over the issue. Even the search operation which is being launched in Marnaiya village of Hoshiarpur is still a suspense and officials have not okayed that the operation is for the Amritpal and his alias or is for someone else.
