The Rajasthan government has taken a big step considering the incidents of rape with women and children. The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly passed a bill on Friday, under which death penalty law approved for wrongdoing with girls 12 years of age or below.
It is important to ensure the security of the society and to save the girl child from such poor crime. Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria stated that the government wants to add new guidelines in the current legislation through the bill. He said that attachment of Section 376-AA of Indian Penal code, death sentence or stringent punishment is enforced for wrongdoing with children below 12 years of age. In the event of strict punishment, it will not be less than 14 years and it may extend to life imprisonment.
