You will be shocked to hear about the women who single-handedly made Indian Army much stronger. Dr. Shubha Venkatesha Iyengar honored with Padmashri who is an aerospace scientist advancing aviation safety. She created critical technologies which were very much needed by India. Many years ago Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam created Agni missiles for Indian army which was a great work but it had some limitations. The major limitation of this Agni missile was it sometimes loses its accuracy. Dr. Shubha Venkatesha Iyengar helped to improve this limitation so that the missile can easily reach its target.

She developed indigenous technology that survives 3000 degree celcius and can work with the speed which is five times more than the speed of sound (5* 343 meters per second). Today, it powers many of Indian missiles, rockets, satellite and high speed engines. She also developed a system which is used at many airports and also by the Indian air force. Earlier aircrafts faced very difficulty while landing in bad weather. Dr. Shubha Venkatesha Iyengar then developed a system called Drishti. Drishti-Visibility Measuring System and Aviation Weather Observation System, made unique contribution to India’s missile. This system enabes safe take-off and landing in bad weather.
