68 Inter-colleges and 19 Schools de-recognised in Bihar

Bihar board has been under the scrutiny since the last years debacle. In an attempt to revamp the education system of Bihar the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is carrying out inspections of all Two Hundred and twelve schools that were granted affiliation during the tenure of Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, the Board Chairman.

68 Inter-colleges and 19 Schools de-recognised

So far the BSEB chairman Mr. Anand Kishore has cancelled the recognition of 68 Inter-colleges and 19 Schools. Mr. Kishore said that apart from de-recognition of the schools and colleges more action will happen in days to come. In the topper scam which unfolded early this year 30 people including 20 Public Servants have been named.

Digital Marking soon to be in place

Moving towards a better education system in the state the Board will be introducing a Digital Marking system to bring about transparency in the evaluation system. In this innovative system the original answer sheets would be scanned and the teachers would be required to mark the scanned copies and input the marks online in the provided software. The original answer sheets would be kept under lock and key for record purposes.

Fresh FIR in toppers scam

The police had stated that on the basis of the forensic reports based on the handwriting samples it has been determined that Ruby Rai, an accused in the Bihar toppers scam did not write the exam answer sheets, and these were written by someone else. Patna SSP has said that a fresh FIR may be filed in the topper scam case. He is heading the Special Investigation Team probing the toppers scam.
