J&K/DODA (The Stellar News), Anil Bhardwaj: In order to know the welfare, wellness and grievances of retired Police Personnel, today on 31st of March-2022, SSP Doda Sh. Abdul Qayoom along with SP Hqrs Doda, Sh. Master Popsy & Dy.SP DAR Doda, Sh. Shoket Ali held a meeting at District Police Lines Doda which was attended by nearly 40 retired police personnel of District Doda.While speaking on occasion, the participants highly appreciated and thanked for organizing the meeting of retired police personnel to know their welfare, besides listening of their grievances and issues.
In the meeting the retirees highlighted many issues and demands which includes (1) 50% Reservation for wards of retired /Martyred police personnel in J&K Police recruitment (2) Establishment of skill development institute at regional level to facilitate skill development training in various streams to wards of retired/serving police personnel (3) Provision of tour programme once in a year for retirees (4) Providing of bank loan facility especially housing loan, education loan against minimum loan interest on the pattern of CAPF being provided to them by State Bank of India (5) Engagement of unemployed wards of retired police personnel as SPOs in Police department. A patient hearing was given to the issues and suggestions put forth by the retirees in the meeting and SSP Doda while addressing on the occasion assured them that their issues and suggestions will be taken up at appropriate level and all efforts will be made to redress the grievances of retirees.
