Ferozepur (The Stellar News): On 04th April 2022, during wee hours, Border Security Force troops observed suspicious movement of a person on the other side of Border Security Fence and heard thumping sound, in the area of Ferozepur Sector under district Tarn-Taran.
BSF troops challenged & fired at the person (smuggler) 06 rounds, but he managed to run away, taking cover of standing crops. On search of the area ,02 packets of contraband items suspected to be Heroin (Gross weight – 2.2 kgs) wrapped in yellow adhesive tape were recovered from the Indian side of Border Security Fence. Vigilant BSF troops had once again foiled the nefarious attempts of anti- national elements to smuggle contraband. BSF is committed in fight against drugs.
