Hoshiarpur ( The Stellar News ): Internationally renowned Karate Coach, first and only certified judge of World Karate Federation and Asian Karate Federation from Punjab, Sensei Jagmohan Vij of Hoshiarpur Punjab has been elected as a member of the National Referee Commission of Karate India Organisation ( KIO) which is National governing body of Karate sport in India duely recognized by World Karate Federation. According to Shihan Rangila Ram Dhatwalia, Deputy Commandant (Retd) Indo-Tibet Border Police, Technical Director, Okinawa Gojuryu Karate Federation of India, this is the best achievement achieved at the national level by any Karate coach or referee from Punjab. It is worth mentioning that Jagmohan Vij is the first and only referee not only from Punjab but also from neighboring states and ut like Haryana, Chandigarh, Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh etc. to be included in National Referee Commission of Karate India.
According to Advocate Deepak Sharma, Working President, district Karate association, Hoshiarpur Sensei Jagmohan Vij is the first referee to be inducted into the Referee Commission of the National Karate Federation in the nearly 40 year history of Karate in Punjab. Not only entire Punjab but Karate players and instructors from all over India have also warmly welcomed it and expressed their happiness on Sensei Vij’s inclusion in the National Referee Commission by the Karate India Organization ( KIO). Sensei Jagmohan Vij expressed his happiness on this appointment in the Referee Commission of KIO and thanked Hanshi Bharat Sharma, Member, Technical Commission, WKF and mentor of Karate India alongwith Kyoshi Vijay Tiwari, President ,Kyoshi Sanjeev Jangra ,General Secretary KIO with Hanshi Premjit Sen, Chairman Referee Commission for posing faith and assured his best as member RC.

Known for his fair and clean decisions, Sensei Jagmohan Vij is also recognized in the international karate world. Vij having international experience of more than 25 years of international karate competitions as referee and judge organized in many countries including Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Philippines, USA, Italy, France, UAE, Nepal, Thailand besides India In view of his honest image, Vij had been invited in official karate competitions in different universities and States to conduct Karate Championships as Chief Referee or Tournament Director in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Assam, Orissa, Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh etc. recently, Jagmohan was also one of the five officials to represent India at the 25th Senior World Karate Championship held in Dubai.
