A man arrested for allegedly shooting an Army Jawan in Cantonment’s market, Bareilly. The accused is identified as Dhruv Chaudhary.
The victim, Lance Naik Anil Kumar was taken to military hospital for treatment, where he was declared dead by doctors.
As per reports, the Army Jawan was shot dead by Dhruv for opposing the sexual harassment of a colleague’s wife.
According to police, Dhruv’s brother Rajesh allegedly assault a woman (wife of an army subedar) when she went to buy groceries. She informed the matter to her husband over the phone, her husband narrated the whole matter to Anil.
After that Anil went to Rajesh’s house and warned him not to harass the woman. Rajesh informed the matter to his brother Dhruv. The angry Dhruv challenged Anil in the middle of market and shot him twice.
