100 Beds Hospital working on just paper without a brick laid

New Delhi (The Stellar News), Adityaveer Singh Makkar: “Few Days earlier the leading Newspaper of India, Times Of India discovered a scandal in the name of Health Facilities”. A shocking display happened in the State of Madhya Pardesh, where in Indore, Khajrana area, a civil hospital was planned to be built in 2020. But during a search the hospital was not found and moreover 87 members of staff including doctors, nurses, paramedical staff etc were assigned the posts in the hospital irrespective that the search for the land was dragged on. For 6 years there were routine transfers and postings were actively carried out to fill these rolls. A shocking thing was that around rupees Three crore of salaries were also given to the members assigned for the posts. Without even having a proper area to be built it was fully functioning on paper. Only a Hospital sign board could be spotted on the site and not the actual building. 80 members of the hospital are working in alternative locations including the PC Sethi Hospital, Hukumchand Hospital and at various local Sanjivani Clinics in the various parts of the city.

On the unusual situation, the Deputy Chief Minister, “Rajendra Shukla clarified the history of the hospital by stating that, initially an urban PHC (Primary Health Centre) which was later converted into a 50 bed civil hospital and latter planned for an 100 bed civil hospital”. The construction of the hospital couldn’t be started because of an inappropriate building land. Till the time the building constructed, the assigned staff was assigned to different government medical institutions and search for the land still continues. The opposition parties have called for the serve negligence of the government. Former Chief Minister, Sajjan Singh Verma questioned on how the appoints and transfers of the staff members could happen for some many years for a hospital that does not have any existence. “We will raise question in the upcoming assembly sessions and demands answer” Sajjan Singh Verma said and called for a high level investigation in this matter.

The Chief Medical And Health Officer(CMHO) Dr Madhav Hasani highlighted on the these bottlenecks questions by stating,” The appropriate land to build a Hospital in the limits of the city is not easy which delayed the construction. The assigned staff and nurses have been assigned in Sanjivi Clinics and other hospitals so that their skills are put to active use.

Questions also arises that: How can the state government be negligent? From where was the rupees 3 crore salaries went and other whose name? Why was the government inactive for 6 years? Who all are involved in this incident? It’s not a new thing that these kind of cases have not been happened in our Country but the thing is that there is lope holes in the working of the governments and also about maintaining strict rules and regulations in the working of the governments. A serious question is that Why are the governments not effective in our nation?
