Chandigarh ( The Stellar News ): Punjab and Haryana High Court granted bail to Vijay Singla who was accused of demanding ‘one percent commission’ in tenders purchased by his department. He was arrested under sections 7 and 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Phase VIII police station in Mohali on May 24.

During the on Friday, 08 July 2022, appearing on the behalf of the state, Punjab Adv. Gen. Anmol Rattan Sidhu submitted that the investigation matter was complete, Singla was co-operative during investigation and did not object at the prosecution’s request to collect his voice samples. Thus Bench of Justice Lisa Gill approved his bail.
