BJP workers stage protest outside Manish Sisodia’s residence

Delhi (The Stellar News): Today BJP workers staged a protest in front of Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s residence. Demanding his resignation, the protest comes a day after he was named in Delhi Lt. Governor Vinay Kumar Saksena’s demand for a CBI probe into the Delhi government’s excise policy.
Dramatic visuals continue to emerge as protestors pushed barricades and raised slogans against Sisodia and the ruling party in Delhi. Attacking the AAP government, BJP said that the administration had violated rules and procedures that promoted cartelisation to benefit the liquor companies in Delhi.
The Delhi Lt. Governor VK Saksena has ordered a probe into the controversial Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 based on a report from Delhi Chief Secretary. Rule 57 of the Transaction of Business Rules (TBR) 1993, mandates the Chief Secretary to flag any deviation from the laid down procedures to the Lt. Governor and the chief minister.
Earlier on Friday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the Centre is building a fake case against Delhi’s Deputy CM. While attacking the Centre, Sisodia said that PM Modi was scared of Arvind Kejriwal’s popularity and more false cases shall be lodged against him and AAP leaders.
