Railway Budget 2018: safety and modernization

The Stellar News: In today’s Union Budget 2018 announcement Finance Minister Arun Jaitely announced that a Capital expenditure allocation of Rs.1.48 lakh crore for railways. Which is the highest allocation ever given the government. There will be no new trains and cheaper tickets, the main focus is on modernization and passenger safety.

Finance Minister said that redevelopment of 600 major railway stations had been taken up. He assured that more than 25,000 footfall would contain the facility of escalators. Government would also provide CCTV’s and Wi-Fi facilities to the railways.
