Five people were killed and 25 injured in the blast in an illegally operating cracker factory in Sawhanganj Mohalla, Sohsarai police station area, Nalanda district of Bihar.

As per the reports, this incident took place late last night. The deceased are identified as Munna Pandit, Sumera (one month), Tanik Fatima (3), Sartaj and her sister Shaista.
The injured were taken to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) for treatment, their condition is said to be critical. Other injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital, Bihar Sadar.
The case has been registered and the investigation is on.
