CYCLONE YASS: PM MODI HOLDS REVIEW MEETING WITH SENIOR OFFICIALS

Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: As the Tauktae Cylone adversely affected the locals of Gujrat and Maharashtra and damaged various properties. A new cyclone is heading towards Odisha and West Bengal this week, so to ensure the security of people, both State as well as Centre Governments alertly started taking actions.

On this PM Modi holds a virtual review meeting with senior officials and asked them to ensure timely evacuation of people to safe places. In this meeting Home Minister Amit Shah, Senior officials of Government, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Secretaries from Telecom, Power, Civil Aviation, Earth sciences Ministries were present to review preparations.

As the Odisha and west Bengal is suspecting to confront cyclone storm Yass between May24 and May26, for this Indian army on Saturday informed that it has arranged columns and engineer tasks forces are on standby for rescue and relief operations.

Indian coast guard (ICG) has also made all the preparations to meet the likely challenges from the developing cyclonic storm Yass on the east coast. Northern railway also cancelled all the train schedules from capital to and from bhubaneswar and puri in odisha May 24 to May 26.

Besides this Both state CM’s of Odisha and West Bengal has also reviewed the preparations made to confront the cyclone Yass.
