“IF WE CAN FIGHT FOR COUNTRY, WE CAN ALSO FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS”: PUNIA AMID REBEL AGAINST WFI

New Delhi (The Stellar News) Saksham Kalia: Indian National Wrestlers have started an agitation in Capital’s Jantar Mantar against the Wrestling Federation of India raising allegation of women harassment by the coaches and officials of the authority.

The agitation is joined by several Olympic wrestlers of India sighting the harassment of players by the Wrestling federation of India.

Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshee Malikkh, Bajrang Punia & other wrestlers sit on a silent protest at Jantar Mantar for the second day against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) & its chief BrijBhushan Sharan Singh against whom sexual harassment allegations were made.

Olympian wrestler Bajrang Punia at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, “If we can fight for our country, then we can also fight for our rights”:

“The new wrestling federation made in Haryana has people similar to Brijbhushan Sharan Singh (WFI President)”, Vinesh Phogat, Wrestler, at Delhi.

Champion wrestler and BJP leader Vinesh Phogat has conversed with the agitating wrestlers and assured them total support from the government side.

 Olympian wrestler Bajrang Punia added that, “Champion wrestler & BJP leader Babita Phogat arrives at the protest site at Jantar Mantar in Delhi Babita Phogat has come from the government’s side for mediation. We will speak with her and then give more details”.

CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat also came to join the protest but wrestlers didn’t allowed her to address the peoplel on mic and asked to step down from the stage.
